September 10, 2026
The current release will be deployed to Stage Thursday, September 10th. It will be deployed to Production Thursday, September 17th at 10:00pm CST.
Below are the release notes for the new features and improvements introduced in the latest sprint:
Workbench Features & Updates
- APPS Order Integration: Introduced a brand-new integration with APPS that allows underwriters to order various medical labs for applications directly through the platform. The configuration supports over 40 distinct requirements.
-
Team Supervisor Dashboard Enhancements: Integrated two variations of a new task performance tab displaying the "Average Cycle Time by Task" (calculated from task initiation to completion) to collect user design feedback:
- Task Cycle Time Heat Map: Displays a rolling six-month average with alpha-sorting and tooltips. It expands into a month-by-month historical breakdown.
- Average Cycle Time Bar Chart: Incorporates a new chart paging approach to manage high volumes of data seamlessly.
- Configurable Dashboard Date Range: Addressed a client request by allowing the dashboard page's date range filter to save on a per-user basis, persisting even after logging out or refreshing the browser.
- Workflow Queue Tile Correction: Fixed a bug on the supervisor dashboard to ensure specific tiles continue showing the full case workflow after a case exits a queue.
Platform Core Updates
- Decoupled Requirement APIs: Streamlined the case requirement notes API endpoints by removing the mandatory account ID parameter from the URLs, using only the client code and case ID. Legacy versions remain supported.
- Configurable Autocomplete Rules: Removed background hardcoding and introduced an autocomplete rule function for workbench requirements. Requirements can now automatically mark themselves complete when evaluating sequence criteria to "true" without requiring human intervention.

Accounts can now trigger automated actions when a note is added to a requirement — currently supported for requirements tied to a LexisNexis Health Intelligence Post Action. When configuring the event, users select the requirement to watch and one or more note tags (Order Status, Order Summary, Task, Channel, Vendor) to determine which notes should fire the event. Supported actions include Send Email, Send SMS, Webhook, Update Requirement Status, Evaluate Case Manager, and several others. Configuration documentation is available here: Requirement Note Added Event – Configuration Guide.
Team Dashboard: Open Tasks Column
The Assigned Cases table now includes an Open Tasks column (to the right of Requirements Received), showing users the count of open tasks per case with an “open” label. Cases with no open tasks show a blank cell, and hovering over the count displays a tooltip listing the specific open tasks — giving users quick visibility into task-level workload without opening each case.
Teams Dashboard: SLA Configuration Banner
When SLA tracking hasn’t been configured, the dashboard now shows a banner in place of the Past Due / Due Today / Due Tomorrow cards, prompting users to set it up. A “Configure SLAs” button (shown only to users with case manager configuration access) links directly to the configuration page, and a “Dismiss Alert” link hides the banner for the session.
Platform Core
Choose Which Tasks to Re-evaluate
Configurators can now target specific Tasks (and Requirements) when setting up an “Evaluate Workbench Task Rules” event action, instead of the action always evaluating everything. A new optional setting lets you select which Tasks the action applies to — leave nothing selected and behavior is unchanged (all Tasks processed); select one or more and only those are processed.
Case Managers can now add a subtitle to a Task, giving extra context to help identify it at a glance.
Re-assign Tasks on Case Assignment
Open tasks assigned to a case’s current assignee can now automatically transfer to the new assignee when the case itself is reassigned, so nothing has to be manually reassigned. This is controlled by a new account-level toggle (Settings > Workbench > Options > Task Options > “Reassign open tasks on case reassignment”), which is off by default — no change to existing behavior unless a client turns it on.
Users can now control which role is allowed to update an underwriting decision, via a new optional account setting (Settings > Workbench > Options > Underwriting Decision > “Disable Update Decision”). When the rule evaluates to true, the Update Decision button is disabled on the Underwriting tab; when false, it’s enabled. Default: no rule selected — no change to existing behavior.

LexisNexis Health Intelligence: Order Status notes added as requirement note
Underwriting Note Updates
Default Note Types in Notes Panel
Note type filter selections to persist across sessions. Task Notes will now be duplicated as Underwriting Notes, so that all Underwriting Notes appear on the document and in the Notes section. This can be turned off via an account setting. Added Requirement Name to UW note, so its easier to understand what the note is about. This is currently behind a feature toggle.

Address Verification Provider Swap: Swapped the backend address verification service from USPS to Smarty.
- This change is currently behind a feature toggle and is designed to be backwards compatible, requiring no changes to existing USPS integration configurations, inputs, or outputs.
- Ongoing work is being done to map Smarty error messages to match historical USPS error messages to ensure existing rules or VMKs that rely on specific error substrings continue to function as expected.
- Performance Improvements: Completed several behind-the-scenes performance enhancements.
- Network Traffic Mitigation: Researched and implemented measures to reduce high network traffic and associated costs.
- Entity Framework Transition: Implemented new testing tools to finalize the transition of removing Entity Framework from the platform. All Entity Framework components are currently turned on in the staging environment.

SLA Filters on Supervisor Dashboard Supervisors can now filter the Team/Supervisor Dashboard by Past Due, Due Today, and Due Tomorrow cases. Filters can be applied individually or in combination, and selecting them updates the dashboard — including Queue Filters, Assigned Cases, and the Team Table — to show only the matching cases. Case counts are displayed for each filter. Selecting a user in the Team Table also updates the SLA tiles, queue tiles, and Assigned Cases view accordingly.
User Page Sorting Fix Fixed an issue where the User Page was not sorting by Name or Email alphabetically.
Case Manager User Visibility Fix Fixed an issue where Case Managers could see or assign users to a case even when those users did not have access to that account.
Platform Core
Requirement/Task Document Tag Workflow Documents will no longer automatically attach to a requirement if that requirement hasn't been created yet. A new toggle has been added under Account Settings > Workbench > Options ("Automated Mapping Behavior") to control both directions of document-to-requirement attachment behavior.
Add Requirement Fix While Search is Active Fixed a bug where pressing the Add Requirement/Task button while a search was active would break the page and require a reload. The button is now correctly disabled during an active search.
New Role Permissions Three new granular permissions have been added to give administrators more control over user access:
- User Management: Add User — Controls the ability to manually create new users.
- Case Summary: Regenerate Documents — Controls access to the Regenerate Documents feature.
- User Management: Account Assignment — Controls the ability to update user-to-account mappings.
Event Updates Fix Fixed an issue where cases were not correctly entering an Error state when an Export 103 event failed.
MIB Certificate Update Updated the MIB Certificate to ensure continued integration reliability.

What We Delivered
UW Workbench
Agent Communication Updates Requirement Status When an Agent Communication is received, the Requirement Status now automatically updates to "Received," allowing the case to be routed to a queue. Additional behavior includes: if a requirement is already complete and a new Agent Communication arrives, the status reverts to Received; if a UW user adds a new communication on a completed requirement, it switches to Ordered. The envelope icon now shows "Mark as read" on hover, and clicking it removes the unread indicator. Once all Agent notes, Agent Documents, and any other uploaded documents are marked as read, the requirement automatically updates to Complete.
Queue Filters on Dashboard Queue filters are now available on the Dashboard, giving users the ability to filter their view by queue directly.
Queue Filter Glitch Fix Fixed a glitch affecting queue filters on the Dashboard.
Platform Core
Removing Questions from Repeat Blocks with Mappings — Fix Fixed a bug where attempting to remove a Question (with Reflexives) from a Repeat Block that had mappings set up (such as Order API or Case Search) would produce a foreign key error and fail. Questions can now be removed from Repeat Blocks without errors. Note: any repeat mappings on Reflexives within the removed Question will not be automatically deleted.
Case Requirement Notes API — searchAllNotes Default Change The default behavior of the searchAllNotes parameter in the Case Requirement Notes API has been updated. Previously it defaulted to true, meaning the most recent note returned could be a system-generated one (such as a status change log). It now defaults to false, ensuring that system-generated notes are never returned unless explicitly requested.
Manage and View Tasks on a Case A new Tasks subsection has been added to the Underwriting Tab on a case, giving Case Managers a single place to view all tasks related to a case — including who did the work and when it was completed. Key capabilities include adding multiple tasks at once, assigning tasks to users with account access, adding follow-ups, and tracking status (Open, Completed, Removed). Completed and Removed tasks appear at the bottom of the list. System notes are generated when a task is assigned, reassigned, or a follow-up is added.
M2M Logins — Least Privileged Access Updated machine-to-machine logins to operate with least-privileged access, improving overall security.
Login Process Updates Made updates to the login process to improve reliability and user experience.

My Dashboards
Agenium Supports two new Dashboard views; one designed for Underwriters/Case Managers and the other for Supervisors. Both Dashboards leverage Queue SLA dates to help prioritize work.
Validation Checks on Save Application
A new setting in Setting -> Application allows an account to be configured so that question validation is performed even when exiting a case and leaving it On Hold.
Agent Communication
Individual Requirements can now be designated as Agent Communication triggers.
This enables a custom modal to allow Notes and Documents to be sent via a Webhook Event. The Webhook Event support custom parameters to include the requirement ID, attachments, and the note.
USPS Integration Updates
The USPS integration has been updated to align with new API specifications.
My Case History
A new option in the menu bar allows users to quickly view and access the last 10 cases they've opened. This works for single-client users based on a security permission that can be assigned to any role.
New System Event for Attached Call
New System Events are available for when a call is attached or removed from a case. This allows notifications or billing events to fire.
Add Billing from Events
Billing events can now be triggered through System Events, including the ability to remove billing events. This allows for handling Billing when a case is marked Canceled or Done.
Updated Workbench Settings
A new interface for the Workbench Settings screen makes Self Service configuration easier than ever. It also adds configuration options that were previously only available through a help desk ticket.
The Options tab includes the Settings that don't pertain to individual requirements.
The Requirements tab lets you easily manage all of your account's requirements. New capabilities include;
- Drag and drop re-ordering of Requirements
- Renaming of requirements is now supported
- Option to set Digital Owl summarization type
- Assign tags for Integration attachments
